Update on broadcasts & wife's condition
Dear Friends:
Sorry, but I had to drive my wife to yet another doctor's appointment today in a town a half-hour south of us, and the two hours this took out of my day has so backed up my schedule that I won't be able to broadcast the next catch-up session on Dom Guéranger's "Liturgical Year" tonight (Mon, Jun 11).
I am therefore pushing the broadcast forward to tomorrow night (Tues) -- God willing! -- though it may have to be at 10 pm Eastern that night rather than the usual 9 pm.
My dear wife's condition has not improved but, if anything, has degenerated. She can barely move around or eat anything, and has so little energy -- mentally no less than physically -- that she has to lie down several times a day, though her pain does not permit her much rest when she does. She's basically an invalid at this point, and often seems or acts as though she's slowly but inevitably declining, or at least shows no hopeful signs of recovering her health.
This is quite odd since she's only 56 and has always been quite active in the past, e.g., working out at the gym several days a week, going to many book sales, driving many errands every day, cooking meals, etc -- none of which she has done for the past couple of months now.
Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Many thanks!
Yours in Jesus and Mary,
Gerry Matatics
